Mary Ann Strandell
teaches painting and graduate studies at Washington University
in St. Louis. She maintains a studio in downtown St. Louis with
her partner, the sculptor Michael Rees. Her previous teaching
appointments include The Kansas City Art Institute, Notre Dame
University, the University of South Dakota and the University
of New Mexico.
Besides her
life long interest in art-making as a printmaker and painter she
is very involved with bridging the traditional languages of visual
media with technical and creative research in the areas of 3-d
lenticular printing and archival digital editions.
